this is an analysis of the failures to prevent degeneracy on the internet (VRChat,YouTube,Genshin Impact,etc...) in gaming communities and misc forums

what is degeneracy (in this case) = degeneracy is a state when a person is or has the thoughts about hypersexualizing or abusing others for their own satisfaction

Chapter 1 possible triggers for degeneracy

So i am going to just explain the possible triggers for an average Individual 

 

(this is mostly disregarding all mental health issues at a lower level)  

 

 Alright so for our cases we will note 2 imaginary individuals to use as examples. 

Lets call the male John Doe and the female Jane Doe. 

(unrelated to any real individuals which have these names)

 

our first potential likely trigger is loneliness it is quite obvious but i though i should point it out if a person is really lonely they fell very well unsufficently to keep it simple making them prone to making really bad decisions this is the case for both Jane and John Doe in our scenario loneliness by itself dosent pose so much harm as long as it can be solved but if the persons has some sort of an illness that cripples them socially e.g. neurodivergent (or similar stuff that impact cognitive functions) or they have really low self esteem 

 

then there's a high chance they will turn to communicating  on the internet also at this point the potential for degeneracy shows up as loneliness makes you wish for human contact and people that have this wish to have human contact or a partner or similar tend to fall into porn addiction and similar where they can or will develop some sort of fetishes which might be a problem later down the line like 

finding trans people attractive => turning trans => regretting it (as its irreversible) 

 

yes technically following this logical all you need to do is have a healthy social life but some people are just unable to maintain a social life so they also might face these problems down the line 

 

note for later in these cases common sense is a lower priority for such individuals 

Chapter 2 signs of degeneracy 

now i am gonna be 100% honest here i would love to keep this part simple as its disgusting but if i don't share all the information ive learned over time that will lead to possible misinformation beware of the explicit content that is gonna be shared in this chapter

 

  Now this is a very complex part and there might be a lot of edge cases so in this part wel consider John Doe and Jane Doe to not have any sort of a mental illness that could make this more hard to identify than it already possibly can be

 

So lets get the obvious out of the way:

 

1 : if the person has magically lost interest in communicating with other people

then that is not a sign of degeneracy its note worthy as this can help identifying if the person well is affected.

 

2 : if the person has a weirdly sexual type of humor that is just at the line of what is OK then that is a sign of degeneracy now this depends really on how sexual it is as obviously once a month saying something dumb is not an red flag its weird but its not a red flag

 

 3 : if the person started dressing sexually out of nowhere or just its been amplifying over time then that is also a red flag this one is quite obvious of course this depends right if someone works at a lets say job that requires such clothing then well yea that's normal i suppose but in this case were talking about the average of average John and Jane Doe

 

 4 : also this is a red flag if you somehow have noticed that the person is starting to stink more like semen then that's also a red flag noting porn addiction

 

 5 : if the person has changed their sexuality that's a yellow flag not all people are actually x well you know sexuality some people change their sexuality in pursuit of their fetishes

 this one really depends approach with caution 

(only note if 1 or more match along side this one) 

 

5 really depends as yes porn can make you like x gender more but its been scientifically proven that sexuality is hardcoded so its really hard to say

 

my point is don't treat someone coming out as a 100% degenerate 

 

(its just extremely hard to understand if someone is faking by switching their sexuality basically whenever or just bisexual)

some people this is a deeper and more complex topic i will go through this more in depth

but they like to take owner ship of other people and use them so please be wary of such changes in behavior as these people can be dangerous to others mostly mentally unstable people  there have been multiple cases of x individual connected to x group sexually abusing a minor or similar and making x minor cut itself

 Chapter 3 spotting victims and providing help

so this chapter part is mainly the reason why i am writing this as there's been an huge amount of underage people being abused like mentioned above with no sufficient help provided resulting in a lot of deaths (suicides)

 

so what to look for on a person that seems like they might be abused like this?

 

1 : any cuts that resemble signs names logos similar such groups tend to leave their marks in such ways so doing so might help save a few people 

 

2 : having an personal talk with such person as believe it or not if someone has got here due to loneliness they will appreciate someone trying to reach out don't try to be relatable just try to help just like have a talk about personal life and if they need any help and if they do have can you help? 

 

most of these simple things will actually help believe it or not also a lot of these victims tend to have really deep wounds so please note those  

 

These individuals that are targeting these victims are able to go after them in case of them ghosting them if the victim has shared their information with the attacker do as much as you can to protect them the failure to protect such victim might cause the death of the victim unintentionally or not 

 

as the attacker might do multiple things : swat the victim , stalk the victim , pay someone to attack the victim , deliver unpaid items to the victim etc..

 

 simpler cases (not actual potentially violent attackers aka sexual attackers)

 

in these cases the simplest and most effective method again is to check if the victim shared any personal information if so then attempt to protect them for reasons shared above

 

and report the attacker to the police as most of these attackers are actually what i have defined above as a degenerate so they are just as vulnerable as the victim they just have been in such state for a longer time. 

 

always contact the appropriate authorities (in both cases) if you fail to contact such authorities the victims life might be on the line.

 

Chapter 4 spreading of such degeneracy how does it work?

 

so in this part i am gonna explain how such people meet and get abused.

 

now most of the time its a fault of the service that the individuals chat via 

as apps like (Discord,Kick (sms),etc...) fail to actually do anything against such cases and such predators

 

theres is no reporting done to the police or anything if one "hub" gets banned 10 others where such victims might end up are gonna pop up

 

such hubs might include "self harm servers","dating servers" (yes that's a thing)

and specific community ran servers of specific games or and subcultures  (like furries)

 

ignoring discord kick is an app that has been exploited by predators for years now the developers not willing to patch the issues that the predators exploit to get to children or and victims via

 

as so i believe kick should be banned asap for failing to provide ANY safety measures to its users 

 

now there are also not such known platforms like 

meetyou.com and such but those are mostly used by older people 

yes predators are there but most people except old people that are on there are not victims but trolls 

 

also ignoring that there are forums that are supposed to provide help on committing suicide out right banning anyone who tries to help the person in question 

(not linking it for obvious reasons against googles tos)

 

 some users even create "families" in video games via which they commit disgusting activities which i could only describe as online diddy parties i am sorry but i dont have any other better words to use to describe such cases

 

in these families what happens is possible grooming though that happens on platform like VRChat where such things tend to be prosperous as even though VRChat is 16+ which is the only thing that saves it from getting nuked of the face of the Earth parents allow children to play it anyway such stuff happens in similar games

 

note worthy VRChat porn exists (dont let your kids play VRChat please)
